    ALTITUDE/SOIL: 270 - 300 metres above sea level.
    Red/Brown clay with ironstone and quartz.
    Sustainably farmed.

    Soft Shiraz tannins, with a supple, savoury finish.
    Underlying, you gets hints of that iron rich, ancient, red soil with quartz, that make Greenock wines unique.
    Drink: A Real food wine built for the long term. Cellar up to 12 years.

     

    Winemaking

    Fruit de-stemmed with cold maceration for 2 days.

    9 day fermentation on skins, pumped over 3 times a day.

    Basket pressed into a combination of barrel and small tanks.

    Maturation - 3 separate components:
              Seasoned 300 litres barrels (minimal oak flavour)
              Stainless steel tank (no oak) and tank with French oak staves for
              10months.
    Components blended to create final wine.

    Alc/Vol 14.1%
